Rig 0.20.0 has been released!

Hi everyone!

I'm happy to announce that Rig 0.20.0 has been released and is available to use!

New feature additions

• We have introduced a new think tool located in rig::tools::think. This aims to give non-reasoning LLMs space to think and write before giving their final answer to you.
• You can now also use vector stores as a tool, located in the vector_stores module.
• You can now also use more than 1 agent as a tool! Multi agent systems are now fully possible with Rig.
• File support is now supported for images on Gemini! We have also done some work to change how we represent images internally, and will be changing the rest of our document types to reflect this soon.
• System prompts (preambles) are now entirely optional!
• Agent multi-turn streaming items have been made more granular! You should now be able to get tool calls and reasoning as their own items.

Bug fixes

• Some UTF8 incomplete byte sequence errors were being reported. We have now refactored the way we do streaming on every single provider (barring Anthropic as it is much less likely to suffer from this issue) to prevent the UTF8 errors from happening.
• candidates_token in the Gemini API usage metadata has been made optional to account for the way some models give responses.
• Fixed an issue with the OpenAI Responses API integration not taking image URLs properly as input

Other

• rig-qdrant docs should now be readable! There was an issue with the docs build that we were not aware of previously but have now taken care of.

Breaking

• We updated rmcp to 0.6. This may affect you if you are using rmcp.
• You may need to adjust your code if you use the agent multi-turn streaming items directly.
