Has anyone managed to get this open to LAN somehow? or could anyone explain how to possibly setup the server as a more standalone application and the client seperate for LAN multiplayer?

I would also like to know if it's possible to use LAN on these servers...
I will look at the coding, it might be as simple as Hosting a Server locally and connecting you your own IP on another computer...
I'm not sure though.

Since maintainers have not responded and I'm sure people want to know, the singleplayer edition runs its own server. LAN is as simple as opening a couple ports on your computer's firewall only (and leaving them blocked at the router). Then run ipconfig or use a tool to find your local IP and connect to that IP on your second computer.

Ah, thanks for the hint; I found this repo though https://2009scape.org/site/game_guide/singleplayer.html

Edit 2: Looks like a pull req (that was already in progress) updated that page, just waiting for github sites to build it now.
