Microsoft UET Integration

Hello, I have been using the cookie consent banner without issue in order to link user consent data within my GTM account. I am wondering if it is currently possible to integrate the consent banner with Microsoft's Universal Event Tracking as this is currently showing as non-tracking. I am just wanting to know if there is something I have missed, or if this is not a current feature of the solution, thank you.

Hi Jelen,

1 - I meant that I am successfully using the cookie consent banner with my google tag manager account and it is correctly tracking consent.

2 -Microsoft Universal Event Tracking (UET) is Microsoft's own version of determining user consent. https://help.ads.microsoft.com/#apex/ads/en/60341/1/#exp56 . It works similarly to google consent in the sense that it stores the user's consent status after they have made a decision in the cookie consent banner. I would expect that when a user consents using the banner, that both google tag manager and microsoft universal event tracking show a successful user consent status.

3 - Microsoft ads (https://ads.microsoft.com/) is currently not receiving consent updates from the user's decision on the consent banner, is there something already in place to send these events and complete the set up within Microsoft Ads in the same way that I am able to do so using Google Tag Manager?

Hi @JoshCartledge3,

We need to analyze this first, but since the Microsoft solution isn't widely used in comparsion with Google, it currently has a lower priority. I'll get back to you when we have more details.
