User defined tags (for files/images)

It would be nice if the user could add tags to files/images and use these tags in the search menu.

due to how tags are implemented, if you have duplicate copes of one file (the same file is in multiple folders in different places), then it will be impossible to add a tag for just one of the copies -- any tags you add would get copied to every other copy of that picture.

if that is fine then this may happen at some point, just no promises as usual :>

Would this be for symlink copies? In that case, I would consider it an advantage that the tags are also copied.

yep, tags are attached to the file based on the file contents, so it would also carry over to non-deduped files which happen to have the same contents
