Importing aws-vault as a library?

Curious if there are any use cases or examples I can look at if this has been done before? I maintain kconf and I'm tempted to write in an option to select an AWS Vault profile as part of using a Kubernetes context.

It would eliminate a step entirely from AWS-centric Kubernetes workflows.
