QR scanner not working close-by

When scanning a QR image of my lightning game, the QR scanner works well from a distance but not close-by (strangely enough). So when the QR image fills almost the whole screen of my phone the scanner doesn't work (well) when trying to use Send (Scan QR code). The picture can be found (or a new one can be generated in my game) here.
