Request for Guidance on Shock- Flame Interaction Setup in PeleC

Hello, everyone!
I’m working on setting up a case for shock-flame interaction in PeleC, with the shock wave defined as an initial condition. Is there a tutorial or example case I can refer to for guidance on how to do this?

There's the Sod regression test and the PMF test. Combining those should get you to where you want to be.

I have another question: how can I set the lower boundary as NSCBC to prevent the shock from reflecting at this boundary? Currently, I use "hard" and do nothing in the bcnormal of prob.H, as shown in the following.

Is there a plan to implement NSCBC in the near future? Or can you help point me to the files I would need to modify to implement it myself? Thanks!

There are no plans from the core development team to implement NSCBC as we do not have a current funding stream to support that effort. Of course, this would be hugely useful capability and we would welcome it from anyone who takes on the challenge.

If you go over to https://github.com/AMReX-Combustion/PeleC-archive you'll see a few stale branches including partial work on NSCBC implementation that might be a good place to start, as well as the information in the documentation on the old fortran implementation.
