Cannot use hc with lz4 - failed without any error message on windows

using version from squashfs-tools-ng-1.3.2-mingw64.zip
when use
gensquashfs.exe -D test_data -c lz4 -X hc test_hc.fs - immediately failed without any message at all
but
gensquashfs.exe -D test_data -c lz4 test.fs - work fine without any issues
