Browser crashed on MacOS startup

• OS: Mac OS Tahoe v26.0.1
• Thorium Version 130.0.6723.174 (Official Build) (arm64)

Problem
When launching browser on MacOS, it immediately crashes.

Additional Notes
I was able to get it to successfully launch by using the --disable-sync flag.

same here, tried switching off separate sync items, crashes anyways. only launches with disabled sync.

I'm running 130.0.6723.174 on macOS 11.7 and Thorium also crashed. It can be run either with --disable-sync or --disable-extensions. I suspect it is caused by certain extension, but I'm not sure which one.

Yep me too. Now I'm on Sequoia 15.7.1. So far 130.0.6723.174 worked fine for almost a year and then it always crashes on startup.

--disable-sync does the trick. Not sure if a particular extension is the cause, because I don't install new extensions anymore.

same here. I haven’t even updated to OS26. as long as sync is turned off, it doesn’t crash. I’m more inclined to think google might have changed something in the syncing process.

I’ve temporarily switched back to chrome for now, but its memory usage is really high…

sync feature is the issue for sure
