getting a feel on the android app

just seeing if there is a plan to develop the android app any further. I might be up for improving the UI/UX. plus if i dont do it then someone else could come along and improve the the andriod apk file

I haven't consider the pain in the ass factor for android users. i thought the andriod apk was good open source sdr reader

So because, for whatever reason, you've had a terrible experience with both Android and all of its users you just intentionally built a shitty app? 100% makes the most sense to me! Keep up the great work and even better attitude bro! 🙄

Be happy the author even bothered to make an android app from the desktop app. not like they were under any obligation to make it.

Some people don't remember that before SDR++ ran on android (2021), there was literally no SDR mobile app this sophisticated. You were limited to RF Analyzer which had quite lacking DSP and supported fewer devices. It basically just an AM/FM radio with a FFT and waterfall, no advanced features.

I ported SDR++ to android because I wanted something more capable to be available. It was never designed to be a good android app, it was designed to just be regular SDR++ which gave the desktop SDR experience on mobile devices. Doing so required to to port dozens of SDR drivers myself (along with some help from Aang254 from SatDump) which other android SDR apps now use: https://github.com/AlexandreRouma/android-sdr-kit.

Please don't kill the Android app. Not everyone is like that. It runs perfectly on the S24/25/23 ultra with the stylus and on tablets. THANKS!
