Unable to boot into AlmaLinux8 kernel post migration from CentOS7 #127

Description

I’m trying to migrate a couple of my UEFI CentOS 7 systems to AlmaLinux 9 and am facing issues after migrating from CentOS 7 to AlmaLinux 8

Issue: I performed a leapp upgrade on CentOS 7 to AlmaLinux 8. After selecting ELevate-Upgrade-Initramfs in the GRUB menu, the upgrade completes, and the system reboots automatically but fails to boot into either AlmaLinux or CentOS

Error Screenshot:

To Reproduce
Perform migration on any UEFI CentOS7 system and post migration to AlmaLinux8, try to boot into el8 kernel

Additional Notes:
FYI, I tested the CentOS 7 to AlmaLinux 8 migration process using ELevate on a system with legacy (BIOS) boot, and it worked fine. The migration completed successfully without any boot issues.

As the migration fails on UEFI systems, This suggests that the problem might be related to the GRUB configuration or the initramfs generation for UEFI systems during the upgrade process.

I’m able to boot into el8 kernel by manually going into grub editor and selecting respective el8 vmlinuz and initrd files.
