Is there Hot Reloading for Glimmer?

This is probably a simple question but I'm wondering if there is an option for hot-reloading/watching for file changes for the glimmer command?

Currently I'm not using scaffolding I'm trying to keep it simple and learn the library so I found out I could run a glimmer app with the glimmer command

glimmer app.rb

but when I make changes in the code It requires me to stop the app and restart it manually to update

Not at the moment. I recently blogged about the topic, mentioning that the benefits of hot reloading are overblown, and devs are productive enough without it, while showing an example of me implementing hot reloading for a Glimmer DSL for SWT app for kids: https://andymaleh.blogspot.com/2024/12/the-dcr-kids-programming-language.html

I've been more productive without it than devs who use hot reloading with bad technologies that have bad software design.

It is certainly possible to support it in the future. It just hasn't been a priority for me. If someone wants to take a stab at it, they are welcome. Honestly, I have an idea on how to add it to Glimmer DSL for SWT in general (monitor files for changes under a directory and refresh components on the screen using implicit content data-binding under shell with every file update), but I have many other priorities ahead of implementing it.

I'd be happy keeping this issue open until it is implemented.

I am happy to contribute and try to implement a solution I have plenty of time on my hands right now I just wanted to make sure I'm not rebuilding something that currently exists.

I agree I've been super productive as well using something like Rails where I'm building a website they don't have native hot reloading support but it still works so nicely the biggest difference is the reload button in browser which makes refreshes pretty easy anyways with a desktop app I could not find an easy way to reload the shell from the UI.

So hot reloading could be super helpful for just messing around and building the app without having to restart the "server" in terminal
