Description
Prerequisite
Windows Hello is enabled, login via fingerprint and PIN is configured properly.
Description
When you try to unlock via fingerprint after Windows itself was unlockes via fingerprint too, nothing happens. You have to switch to a different authentication method to be able to unlock a KeePass DB.
Steps To Reproduce
- Login to Windows using fingerprint.
- Start Keepass and open a WinHelloUnlock enabled DB file.
- The Windows Hello authentication request window opens up.
- Switch authentication method to fingerprint, if it's not already selected.
- Lock the Windows session using the shortcut Win+L.
- Unlock Windows by using fingerprint.
- The Windows Hello authentication request window is still open in front.
- Try unlocking KeePass using fingerprint.
- At this point, just nothing happens. You have to switch to PIN authentication and enter the correct PIN to be able to continue.
Expected behavior
At point 8, login via fingerprint should unlock KeePass.
Additional context
You must use fingerprint twice (for Windows login and KeePass unlock) to reproduce the problem. If you unlock Windows using the password or PIN and then KeePass by using fingerprint, the error will not occur.
