Description
Hi,
I have two X2Go hosts running in virtual machines, one is 64-bit, one is 32-bit.
Both are running Debian Jessie.
Here's the output of dpkg -l | grep x2go on the 64-bit host:

I've tried connecting with X2GoClient 4.0.5.1-0x2go1+git20160324.1180+jessie.main.1 from Linux
clients, both 32-bit and 64-bit.
I've also tried the Windows X2GoClient, 4.0.5.0-2015-07-31, on an x64
Windows 7 (the client is a 32-bit application, though).
The result is always the same:
As soon as I try to start evince in published application mode, either
directly from the menu, or via an xterm and typing "evince" there, or by
specifying evince as the single application to run rather than a
published application session, the X2Go session crashes immediately - IF
the host is a 64-bit system running as virtual machine guest in either
VMware Workstation or KVM.
It does not crash IF:
- The host is a 64-bit Linux-VServer instance.
- The host is a 32-bit virtual machine guest in VMware WS or KVM.
- The connection is made using ssh -X rather than X2Go.
- The connection is made using an X2Go connection to a desktop
environment like LXDE, from which evince is then started.
I am attaching the output of "strace evince >$LOGNAME 2>&1" for one
successful connection (to the 32-bit host) and for three crashes (to the
64-bit host).
Kind Regards,
