Add option to disable update check

Hi,
An option to disable the update check that happens at startup would be a nice improvement. This would be useful for externally managed updates using a package manager like on Arch Linux.

Hi Nick, thanks for the suggestion! Yes I never thought about this option but I agree this should be useful in the use case you mentioned. This new feature will be implemented in the next few days and it will be published in the next release.
I'll write again when the change is available in the develop branch
