Setting background colour for tabs bar and New Tab button

After upgrading, the background of the tabs bar is now #ffffff where I previously wanted it to be #cccccc (the same colour as the menubar). In addition, the "New Tab" button is now showing about half the size it should be.

What CSS should I set to control the background of the Tabs bar (not the background of the tabs themselves, but the empty space)? Is there a setting I can use to increase the size of the New Tab button?

Are these general questions or specific for this projects tab configurations?

This code will change tab toolbars background color:

#TabsToolbar {
  background: yellow;
}

This will increase tab width:

#tabs-newtab-button {
  width: 100px !important;
}

Thanks for the help, but this doesn't seem to fix my problem. The background on the other toolbars is correctly set, but the background on the tabs row still appears white. I'm trying to get the background to the "<" , ">", "+" and where there are no tabs as #cccccc like the other toolbars but it stubbornly stays white. Hopefully these screenshots will clarify what I'm trying to do:

When using this projects unmodified release, navigation toolbar, bookmarks toolbar and tabs toolbar have the same color by default, if you move tabs toolbar below the other toolbars using tabs_below_navigation_toolbar.css or tabs_below_navigation_toolbar_alt.css.

Not sure what code you are using to change the background color of the other toolbars, but to change it correctly, you have to edit color_variables.css file.

Yes, this was the solution! I has set the first two of these, but not the tabs_toolbar_color_tabs_not_on_top which was the thing I required.
Thankyou for your swift response, and I appreciate your work in making this project available for those of us who prefer a different UI to the default
