Reconfigure creating selection box sans pressing left shift key

I am used to with just mouse button to create a selection box on my Linux software I used before. With Audiveris, it is necessary the same process requires to press Left Shift key. The question is is it possible to reconfigure Audiveris so that only using the mouse button to create selection box?

I'm afraid the answer is: no.

• Pressing the mouse gives a location
• Then moving the mouse simply moves the location
• To define a box, you have to keep a Shift key pressed when moving the mouse.

It sounded like you explained above is specific to (JAVA) GUI library. So, there is no way around it, unfortunately.
