It caused a brick on my N3DS

I was following the guide but at the step where I had to use this installer, I pressed the select button and the screen showed something for 1 second, and then black screen. I read that it was very fast so I thought it was normal, I waited 2 minutes before shutting of my console.
After that, nothing. When I try to turn it on, I just have the blue LED, no response. I tried everything in the troubleshooting guide.
Then I was told that is wasn't my fault. The brick was caused by the installer.
