[QUESTION] v2.6.7 safe?

My new 3DS will be coming in soon and hoping it's on 10.7, I will be installing A9LH. I read over the guide multiple times so I don't mess up during, but while doing that I noticed a post on Reddit. A new update was released with the description being "Try something else as a new OTPless brick has been reported". I was panicking thinking that the A9LH installer will no longer work or the brick rate has increased by a lot.

If their is any explanation I would be very grateful.

@Han98 IDK if that is enough to comfort me.
Considering how I keep seeing people complaining about bricks I don't know how safe it is for me to try and put CFW on my n3DS XL for the first time.

Otpless has been removed from the guide to avoid the bricks

Thanks @pbanj for telling me that. I have done it that way(and the original way when it first was a thing) 3 times so at least I will know what in getting into.
