The attached usda contains a grid with an arnold standard surface applied, when rendered through kick it works as expected, but in Solaris (and Husk) I get a default shader (or a black render). For sanity checking purposes, I've also added a sphere with a regular mtlx standard surface applied (this renders correctly)

Create an Arnold standard surface material in a USD MaterialX Builder in Solaris:
