VideoPress block: connection prompt appears for secondary admins when main admin has connected site #39034

Description

Impacted plugin

VideoPress

Quick summary

Even though the primary admin may have connected the site to WordPress.com and purchased a plan, all other admins / editors / authors on the site will see a prompt to connect their account when they attempt to add a VideoPress block to a post. They shouldn't have to do anything.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start by installing the Jetpack VideoPress plugin on your site.
  2. Connect it to WordPress.com and purchase a VideoPress plan.
  3. Come back to wp-admin
  4. Go to Users > Add New and create a new admin user.
  5. Log out of your admin account, and log back in using the account you just created.
  6. Go to Posts > Add New
  7. Insert a VideoPress block

A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

I expect to be able to upload a video, and I should have access to all VideoPress features since the site is connected to WordPress.com.

What actually happened

I see the connection banner above the block:

I still have access to the block features though, and I'm able to upload a video (even though the banner never disappears and I do see an error in the block sidebar):
