Heightmap customization
Heightmap customization is a process of a Heightmap creation controlled by user in opposite to a random generation. There are 4 main customization flows available: draw heightmap from scratch, apply existing heightmap template, create new template, convert image into a heightmap. I would recommend to set up a template or convert image as a first step and then use free draw tools to fine tune a Heightmap.
To start customization click on arrow button to open option, then open Customization tab. Click on "Clear all" button to remove the existing map and generate a new Voronoi diagram or "Roll back" just to degrade a completed map (even a loaded one) to a heightmap.
-
To draw a map use the "Free Draw brushes" buttons
-
To use templates click on "Apply Template"
-
To convert image click on "Convert Image"
-
To modify heights in bulk click on "Rescale"
Once you are satisfied with the Heightmap, click on "Complete". To minimize the failure risk the button activates only where there are at least some land cells.
