Description
You might want to mention Stephen Fairchild’s invaluable Internet DJ Console (IDJC) as a broadcasting tool.
IDJC is a Linux FOSS application and requires JACK. Easy DBUS integration is also possible. Personally, I’ve been using IDJC for ~12 years now, integrated into the studio workflow using StudioDisplay (older software, for studio monitor, signalling tower and On-Air door light). It is also integrated into my Home Assistant.
While Mixxx is a typical application for the live-mixing DJ, IDJC is more for moderated shows, including setups for additional (guest) microphones.
Worth mentioning might also be (non-FOSS):
- Torben Weibert’s mAirList, a great radio automation for more professional studios using lots of hardware (like mixers), which many colleagues use and can stream to AzuraCast.
- SAM Broadcaster, a well-known Windows broadcasting software
