use wildcard_matcher to pattern match files

when calling  `python tools/update_info.py` repos update:

adopting https://github.com/yaleman/wildcard_matcher would make it so that you don't have to provide a regular expression. instead you could use unix style wildcards.

I think that you would want a flag that still allows for regular expressions as it will allow you do more complex collections of items.
