Azcopy remove does not work with Azure Managed Identity

The issue is with 10.30.1.

• it works when running manually
• it fails when running in hybrid worker

With 10.17.0 we have no issue.

I tried to reproduce the issue on my end, and it’s working fine. It seems the problem might be related to the hybrid worker setup or a configuration issue. Looks like its not an azcopy issue.

Could you please clarify what you mean by hybrid worker in this context?

Thanks for checking. We have tested it with Version 10.20.0 and this seems also to work good. Only with 10.30.1 the command is not working as expected.

We have a VM in Azure and a Runbook with some Code and azcopy, which is configured to run on that VM with the Hybrid Worker. At some point it copies a file from Storage Account to the VM.

Depending on the azcopy version which we have stored/installed on that VM it succeeds or fails.

• 10.20.0 and earlier: it copies the files from source to destination
• 10.30.1: we get a permission error "RESPONSE 403: 403 This request is not authorized to perform this operation using this permission."

At that time, the version was 10.26.0 before Oct 30, 2024.
