Some icons too large in Xfce's panel with ugly button edges

I'm not sure why this is happening. You can see the icon is too big and that it has an ugly frame around it. The applications menu does not, as seen here:

I'm not totally sure what's going on, but I thought I'd point it out.

the sound icon I think is a problem with the icon theme.

like I said in B00merang-Project/Windows-XP#7, I need to port everything since this codebase is super outdated. Hopefully the new port corrects this issue
