Installing BOINC v8.2.4 causes Windows task manager to have a generic icon on the taskbar on Windows 11

Describe the bug

After installing BOINC v8.2.4 on Windows 11, I noticed that when I open task manager, the taskbar icon is incorrect. If I uninstall BOINC, and open task manager, the taskbar icon is normal again. This does not seem to happen with v8.0.4. I did not test v8.2.0 or v8.2.1.

Steps to reproduce

1. Install BOINC v8.2.4 on Windows 11.
2. Reboot
3. Open task manager. The icon will be a generic icon.
4. Close task manager.
5. Uninstall BOINC.
6. Open task manager. The icon will be the normal blue icon.

Expected behavior

BOINC should not cause the task manager taskbar icon to be different.

I can't reproduce this on Win11 22H2.
Could you please share more details and possible steps to reproduce?

Can't reproduce this on Win11 24H2 either.

That's strange. I have 4 computers with Windows 11 Pro and they all have this issue. Maybe it has something to do with the OS configuration. I will try some different things and see what happens.

It seems to do this with v8.0.4 as well, but only when BOINC is running. Maybe it is just a bug in Windows 11, or has something to do with the settings on my computers.
