Create a CITATION.cff file #1512
Description
The CITATION.cff is a standard way for ascribing contribution credit and providing a citable software record for use in manuscripts, grant applications, etc.
It might make sense to move the authors from the README file and incorporate that data into the CITATION.cff file, alongside other metadata about the software.
