Synchronize options page field values?

First off, thank you for this plugin! I'd like to use options page fields on a current project to, among other things, implement a global notification bar to appear at the top of all pages. I'd like to configure two fields: a true/false field that allows for display of the notification bar; and a text field to define (translated) content in the bar. Even though I have the true/false field set to "Synchronize" in the field settings, when I change the value in one language, it does not change the others. Is there a setting I'm missing here or is there some way to programmatically update the value for all languages when it's changed in one?

I am experiencing the same issue here in 2025. Fall back to values set in "all languages" does not work either. I think it used to?

Using v3.7

Edit: Deactivating and reactivating the plugin seemed to fix the fallback issue. Synchronization still doesn't work.
