Thanks for your efforts!

I can't manage to setup blynk.
QR Codes wont scan.

I read about different blynk versions but I can only find version 3 in apple App Store.
I don't mind setting up the dashboard myself - but the device keeps showing "offline".

Is BLYNK_AUTH_TOKEN the same as API Key?

What about server and port?
I tried leaving it empty and I tried blynk.cloud with port 8080.

As I See I need to compile by myself, which I did now.
Also added blynk credentials in config.h

still device remains offline in blynk.

Hello, Blynk Legacy has been removed from the app store as it's not supported anymore ( you can still find the way to make it work, but I think it is not worth the effort ).

In order to use Blynk IOT you have to compile it (as you already tell).

Make sure to enable Blynk IOT by un-commenting #define USE_BLYNK_2 in your config.h file.
Then you should fill :

• BLYNK_TEMPLATE_ID blynk docs
• BLYNK_DEVICE_NAME
• BLYNK_AUTH blynk docs - yuo can set this data afterwards by using the wifi-configuration page

Server and port should be empty as the new versione of blynk doesn't support local server at all.

Compile the corde a flash it to your board, first time it will create an AP called SolarTracerAP, connect to it.
Navigate to http://192.168.4.1 and make it connect to your wifi network using the Configure wifi button.

Now everything should work as expected, if not, please attach a full serial-log and your config.h

I've never tried multiple sync. (blynk+mqtt) at the same time, but it's technically possible (it think).
Maybe ESP32 will do a better job than ESP8266 because it's faster.

ESP is still booting in AP mode, this means that it's not able to connect to your wifi network.
Take you computer/phone and check the available wifi connection, you should see "SolarTracerAP" network.
.

Navigate to http://192.168.4.1/ and make it connect to your wifi network using the Configure wifi button.

You have to make it connect to your wifi network, otherwise it won't go any further.

Changing
#define PIN_AP_TRIGGER_VALUE HIGH
To
#define PIN_AP_TRIGGER_VALUE LOW

fixes it!

Happy to see you find a solution 😄 , I guess your board has a pullup resistor on that pin. I can disable the feature if you don't need it by commenting #define USE_PIN_AP_CONFIGURATION_TRIGGER

Next version is going to behave different:
AP mode will be trigger by double pressing the reset button, ESP32 can be booted in AP mode by putting a small magnet during the boot.

Is the ESP board connected to the SCC controller? if so, doble check the wiring between ESP and SCC, 226 is a timeout error .

I guess I found the problem, my chip is max485 - is there a workaround for this chip?

I confirm I'm using MAX485 in my setup with success.
according to ModbusMaster's 224 code means (wrong slave ID), so something it coming from the SSC and the module is reading it, but seems like MODBUS_SLAVE_ID doesn't match with the one you're expecting.

• Do you connect GROUND fof MAX485 to SCC?
• Be sure you swapped A B cable.
• Are you using ESP8266? It shares the serial port between debug log and SCC comm.
• Do you uncomment MODBUS_SLAVE_ID in your config.h? Normally 1 should be ok (default value )

A B is correct.
Ground of ESP goes to Ground in ethernet and Ground on MAX485.
Modbus Slave id i 1.
I have ESP8266 - should I turn off debuggin?

Check your config.h, make sure #define USE_SERIAL_MAX485 is not disabled (commented out).
Referring to ESP8266, max485 should be connected to PIN#5 of the ESP + 2 additional pins for RX0 and TX0. https://github.com/Bettapro/Solar-Tracer-Blynk-V3/blob/v3.x.x/docs/Esp8266_max485_epever_rj45.md

Then, un-comment #define BOARD_ST_SERIAL_PRETRANSMIT_WAIT 10 and change the value to something higher (like 50, 100 ..)
