I just realized that the current UX for scatter plots with a large amount of data points is not ideal, as the point size is fixed to a relatively large value that makes sense for less dense plots, but otherwise not; This setting is with point size = 1 - but pre-set in the plotter width is 50.

maybe we could expand the Advanced options in the plotter widget even more to provide a setting for point size, out-of-frame-alpha, timeframe highighting, etc?
