This is a suggestion. I am currently using the automatic hide/display with the
mouse hovering a toolbar ("toolbar" option chosen instead of "the Bookmarks
button").
Many times I actually don't want the toolbar to display, e.g. going with the
mouse up to change tabs. I know that this may not be trivial but it would be
nice if this activity was detected and the bookmarks toolbar not shown (it's
sometimes annoying as it bumps the page content up and down).
I guess a detection criteria would be the mouse vertical (y axis) absolute
speed at the location of the bookmarks toolbar. If it's too high then the user
most likely was not interested in displaying the bookmarks toolbar. You can add
an option, say "smart detection" for this to give people an option.
