Story mapping

Not usually considered an HCD method per se, but story mapping has some benefits that can be useful in some of the situations we find our projects in.

I think of it as a "visual backlog" of what you're trying to build. It can helpful for these scenarios:

• building something new
• building trust among the team
• incorporating viewpoints from whole team
• framing conversation of what to build around people and their end-to-end experiences for tech-focused teams
• and many more!

Downsides:

• stories still end up Jira, which creates a maintenance problem
