Description
listFix() v2.8.0
The steps described here, were followed on a completely broken playlist containing 24 unmatched tracks.
Steps:
-
Open the playlist needing repair from the Playlist Directories pane into the Playlist Editor, ready for editing.
-
Click the magic wand icon on the toolbar to initiate the auto repair function for all of 24 tracks.
-
Cancel the "Select Closest Matches" process dialogue as soon as it has completed detecting the first batch of track matches. (These will be the exact track matches, each one marked by a green check mark/tick).
-
Click on the diskette icon on the toolbaar to save the first round of track matches—the exact matches. (The green check marks, should now have changed into a green "OK" icon. Note too, that after now having saved the playlist, the "Reload" icon on the toolbar is dulled.)
-
Click the magic wand icon on the toolbar to initiate the second round of auto repairs, which aims to detect the specified* number of closest matches for each of the remaining number of tracks. (*The number of matches as set in "Options—keyboard shortcut = Ctrl+O)
-
Again, cancel the "Select Closest Matches" process dialogue as soon as it has detected several—but not yet all— track matches. (Some of the tracks may have a green check mark, or "OK", next to it.)
Issue:
-
Although the playlist was already saved with the first round of matches, listFix is re-detecting the exact matches it had already detected.
-
If an attempt will now be made to refresh the playlist, the "Reload" button on the Toolbar is dulled and inactive. The only way open to proceed, is to let the "Select Closest Matches" process run its course. (User should be able to refresh playlist at this point, in order to return to the saved playlist, in preparation for his next choice of action.)
