Crop production damage assessment using Climada and WRSI forecast from TAMSAT API

Thank you for the Climada library! Would like to show and get feedback on the Climada application in crop production damage assessment from Water Requirement Satisfaction Index forecast. The impact function was developed from a relationship between WRSI value and percentage crop damage.

The assessment is based on WRSI as hazard data, crop production data from Spatially-Disaggregated Crop Production Statistics Data in Africa South of the Sahara for 2017 as exposure data and impact function from above relationship. This notebook https://github.com/nishadhka/ibf_climada/blob/main/drought_wrsi/ibf_wrsi.ipynb shows the Climada routines used for the damage assessment and application of probabilistic WRSI forecast in impact forecasting advisory development.
