Safari buttons not staying selected for mouse users

Works in Chrome, and works in Safari w/ keyboard / VoiceOver. But Safari with mouse does not keep the styling on "selected" buttons. See screenshot.

Also the dialog text appears below, so the polyfill isn't working?
