Hello,

On CachyOS the logs will show alsactl restore failed

Since CachyOS uses pipewire, I'm not sure I understand why alsactl restore is being used.

I assumed pipewire is handling everything through systemd.

alsa-restore.service shows it's loaded and active.

alsa-restore.service - Save/Restore Sound Card State
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/alsa-restore.service; static)
Active: active (exited) since Sat 2025-07-19 11:32:38 UTC; 16min ago
Invocation: 51cdff215bfa4218bf570d2e6b2fe461
Process: 776 ExecStart=/usr/bin/alsactl restore (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
Main PID: 776 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
Mem peak: 1.8M
CPU: 7ms

But in the logs I also see this;

systemd[1]: Starting Save/Restore Sound Card State…
systemd[1]: Manage Sound Card State (restore and store) was skipped because of an unmet condition check (ConditionPathExists=/etc/alsa/state-daemon.conf).

Here's the cachyos-bugreport.log
