Make this an addon

Extracting manually scripts and scenes and making sure references work in an already running project is a pain. Please make this an addon for ease of use, using custom nodes

I've been thinking about this before. However, I don't think simply making this an addon would only cover a very specific set of use cases seen in the demo. What if you don't need floating objects? What if you want to make a puddle where the player's footsteps create waves? This demo pretty much doesn't allow for these cases.
The current implementation is also not perfect: it is heavy on the CPU and could profit from techniques like ping-pong buffers.

I am thinking about releasing an improved and more minimalistic "base" version as an addon. Users should be able to just drop it in and add their own interactions.

I'll leave this open as a reminder to do that.

Of course this requires some work, I'm not implying it would be easy. But it would benefit for people who would like to use this. Making it an addon as-is and then improving on it with more features and customizability could be a way to go. Thanks for considering the issue
