Description
Describe the bug
I installed the 0.I release candidate from the Kitten launcher and tried to do the tutorial (before doing anything else), and after loading it gave me some errors - initially this one:
DEBUG : tried to get string value from option of type VOID
REPORTING FUNCTION : value_as
C++ SOURCE FILE : D:\a\Cataclysm-DDA\Cataclysm-DDA\src\options.cpp
LINE : 790
VERSION : cdda-0.I-2025-10-26-0731
but pressing space to ignore that gave me others, eventually it repeatedly gave me an error about not finding an overmap I believe. Closing CDDA and relaunching it and creating a new tutorial game then worked fine.
I had previously installed but not run 0.H, then updated to 0.I - not sure if that matters.
Attach save file
Don't have the bugged save since it's now working fine and I think overwrote the bugged tutorial save, but here's the functioning tutorial save if that helps.
Steps to reproduce
- Install the Kitten launcher
- Click "Stable" and choose 0.H
- Press "Update game" a few times but don't launch it
- Change to 0.I release candidate
- Press Update game
- Launch game with default settings
- From main menu, attempt to launch Tutorial.
Expected behavior
Expected tutorial to load without errors
