I'm Oguzhan Yetkin, and I'm thrilled to submit my proposal for the Similar Patient Discovery project as part of GSoC 2025.
As a recent MSc graduate in Artificial Intelligence from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam with a strong background in both psychology and bioinformatics-related machine learning, I’m deeply motivated by projects that directly benefit patients and the medical research community.
🔧 My relevant experience includes:
- Building full backend APIs with FastAPI, Docker & REST, including a patient recommendation system using XGBoost
- Working with clinical data pipelines and developing scalable architectures
- Extensive project work in ML
