Because the robot is facing a light source, faces are too dark to be detected.

rosrun dynamic_reconfigure dynparam set /head_camera/driver auto_exposure False
rosrun dynamic_reconfigure dynparam set /head_camera/driver auto_white_balance False
rosrun dynamic_reconfigure dynparam set /head_camera/driver exposure 7
