German translation first release

Every menu is done, only feega and the guide are not yet translated. Ill translate them next and update this pack when I'm 100% done at a later date.

A lot of menus have been retranslated from japanese and if I have the time and you're okay with it I also have some improvements for the english translation as well. Some things were translated a bit too literally imo and some messages got mixed up while being translated.

Things left to do:

1. Translate the guide and feega wikis
2. the bn file does not support letters with umlaut, so I had to get a bit creative :D maybe I'll find better solutions later
3. Finish translating PNGs
4. I don't know how to edit tm2 textures. The program you bundled with the translation files won't let me edit textures in gimp / paint
5. I would like to add my name into the about section so people can reach out if they find a format / translation error but I didn't find a way without editing your text, so I just left my name out for now.
6. A lot of formatting edge cases haven't been tested yet but I tried to check as much as possible by connecting a MD player and a Digicam

Things to note:

1. The added setting to skip DNAS authentification servers breaks support for some PAL online games like Everquest online. You can connect to the EQ servers with a simple DNS change on a stock ps2 but can't connect to the server at all from the BBN installation.
2. OPL language settings are greyed out for me and cant be changed from english which makes this translation more of a novelty but that might be user error.

Definitely user error. The options are greyed out until you enable them. Go to OPL's OSD Settings, turn "Enable" to "On", then set the language to German and save the settings.

If you want to boot a game disc in German, you'll need to install HDD-OSD. Boot into HDD-OSD, change the language settings there, then insert the disc. It's more than just a novelty.

Yes, please. You're the first person to give the text a full proofread, and I know there are definitely some errors lurking. I need to put out a new English disk image soon, so this could be included.

Don't worry too much about the textures. I don't think many people will be using the email client. However, I had the same issue — opening the image in MS Paint and exporting it as a BMP fixed it for me.

I know there's limited character space for that. Maybe you could add it to the about.png.

Hmm... I haven't tried online play. For PSBBN's online features to work, DNAS needs to be disabled — that’s another use case for HDD-OSD, which shouldn’t have that issue.

Could you also translate the POPS IGR menu (make sure to translate the highlighted and unhighlighted Yes/No buttons) and the PS1 manual?

Translations are pretty straight forward though:
Address --> Adresse, Subject --> Betreff, Date --> Datum, To --> An, From --> Von, Subj. --> Betr.

IGR_guidelines formatting broke for me while editing, can you fix that for me? Also, do you have the highlighted buttons without english text? I'm not that good at image editing :( Translations would be
Yes --> Ja, No --> Nein
though, so would be easy to translate otherwise.

In the xml file TOP-TITLE is the menus header right? I'll call it "Playstation menu manual" then, as "Playstation games manual" sounds like the games manual when translated.

Just send over the text for IGR_guidelines and convert pops_man1 and pops_man2 to png.

Not sure if it's down to the version of GIMP you're using, but I cant open any of those files.

I'm using GIMP 3. Seems like GIMP 3 handles editing text differently, that's why the formatting got messed up and you're unable to open it I guess. I exported man1 and 2 as png and put the IGR translation in a txt file like you said.

Hey. Uni has been pretty busy for me lately so I haven't had much time to work on this but I started translating the feega wiki two days ago. If you find any translation errors you can just text me and I'll fix them but other than that I think my first full pass will be done in 1 - 2 weeks.

If you can read japanese you could help me translate the guide as I tend to mix up my grammar switching between languages. That's also why I started using translation tools for most of the feega guide (except for the parts that didn't make any sense) but other than that, just checking for any typos / weird translations / format errors (big issue) in the finished patch would be more than I could ask for! :)

Hello again! Everything feega is now translated, the about section has been edited and the main menu has been updated. I checked pretty much everything for formatting errors but I still might have missed something. Did you have time to translate the tm2 textures? If yes then only the BBN guide is missing now :)

I also have some improvements for the english translation, mainly regarding the subscription stuff in term_D_7. I have to translate my version into english first though, I'll do that after finishing the guide.

Not yet as I've been working on other new features.

All going well, I think the project will be going multi-lingual with the next update in early July. I hope to get the Japanese version sorted by then too :)
