updated to 4.1.0 yesterday and all VMCs stopped working for all games

added a couple of new games but ran the windows script and updated the software, and now my vmcs are not recognized at all even if i create a new one in opl manager. what could be the problem? could it be changing the content folder during rhe script?

Definitely not caused by the update. It doesn't touch VMCs or OPL settings. No idea what the issue could be.

Connect the drive to your PC and make sure the VMCs are still in the VMC folder, also check the OPL settings to make sure that VMCs are still turned on.
