Description
π Issue Description
The First Contributions tutorial is currently available in 100+ languages but not in Telugu (ΰ°€ΰ±ΰ°²ΰ±ΰ°ΰ±), which is spoken by 80+ million people worldwide, primarily in India.
π― Proposed Solution
I would like to add a complete Telugu translation of the tutorial to make it accessible for Telugu-speaking developers who are starting their open-source journey.
π Files to Translate
README.md β Create translations/README.te.md
All tutorial instructions and steps
Git command explanations
Contribution workflow
π‘ Why This Matters
Reach: Telugu is the 15th most spoken language globally and 3rd in India
Accessibility: Removes language barriers for millions of potential contributors
Inclusion: Aligns with the repository's mission of making open source accessible worldwide
Representation: Currently missing from the 100+ available translations
β My Qualifications
Native Telugu speaker with technical background
Experience writing Telugu technical documentation (recently contributed SearXNG documentation in Telugu)
Understanding of Git workflow and open-source contribution process
Familiar with proper technical terminology in Telugu
π Implementation Plan
If assigned this issue, I will:
Translate README.md to Telugu maintaining all formatting
Ensure technical terms are accurately translated or transliterated
Test all links and commands
Follow the existing translation structure in the repository
Submit a pull request following contribution guidelines
