Implementation of Restart TV / Start Over in Live profile

Hi!

We are seeking for player agnostic way to signal in the dynamic dash playlist, that the playout must be started from the oldest (or selected) segment/time.

Is there currently any mechanism that allows to do that?

You can use MPD anchors as part of the MPD url, see a demo here: https://reference.dashif.org/dash.js/nightly/samples/advanced/mpd-anchors.html . Details can be found in the DASH spec
