Is this project still can be used now in 2024? Because i see the last update is around 5 years ago

Even though there has not been any active updates since 2019, I don't see any reason why it still would not be usable today as WordPress strives to keep backwards compatibility in place with its plugins. I did take a quick glance at some of the code and I don't see anything that would break in the latest version of WordPress. Having said that, you should still thoroughly test any implementation that you apply this boilerplate to.
