The postcss example app uses @stylexswc/design-system, but @stylexswc/design-system is not yet available on npm

Just saw this note:

"This package is private and intended for internal use within the StyleX workspace examples."

So it looks like that is not available for non-internal use.

Package @stylexswc/design-system was created as a demo for internal use, to have an example of a dependency from the monorepo, since there was a bug related to this.
In fact, it does not provide any useful value as a public package, since it only contains a few dummy styles. Therefore, it was not intended to be published on NPM.

There is a similar official package with a full set of styles
