To edit a story, it would be nice to offer the creator a live preview of what the final output looks like. This could be a split-screen or popup which shows the editor and then the final result side-by-side.
Regarding interactive elements like maps, it would be nice to let the user move the map and then e.g. store the current map view (zoom, center etc.), which would automatically add the code to the editor.
In order to make it a simple as possible to the user it would be great if we could conceptualize an "add ..." button concept, that allows to select special components, such as EOxElements map or chart which then populates the "code" into the selected line.
Selecting a component could popup a configuration panel with available options.
Similarly as part of the components there could be a "new section" , that populates defaults for the concepts proposed by @silvester-pari (such as of background or scrub direction in #2 )
