Option to hide hidden files / dotfiles

Please consider adding an option to hide hidden files from view in the file browser.

(Inspired by Finder's love of putting dotfiles into every single folder on an SD card.)

Hiding "dotfiles" (starting with .) can be done with minimum effort, however querying the file system for hidden attribute will not work reliably everywhere.

I see, I didn't even consider the fact that these terms are not synonymous. For my part, just hiding dotfiles would be enough.
