TOP127/128 - Z1_Valve_PID

Hi,

is there anyone who know what is logic behind TOP127/128 topics? What is max value? I have mixing valve for underfloor heating and I'm using Optional PCB simulation via Heishamon. Currently I'm operating mixing valve via optional/Z1_mixing_valve topic but maybe PID could be more precise for this.

I suspect it is PID value for request heating.
While it's going up to 100, mixing valve is opening, in steady, mixing valve is steady, while going down, mixing valve closing..

So if you have step control for valve just map 0-100 to closed/max open and you will be fine. Otherwise you should set it in open state while value is climbing up.

It's pump internal calculations..
Because pump don't know how fast is your valve, also don't know is it spring loaded..

Its internal pumps PID.

You mean integrated water pump? Them I'm not sure what TOP values are called Z1_Valve_PID and Z2_Valve_PID. There is only one internal pump.

Sorry for confusion, this exposed PID is heatpumps internal thermal controlling mechanism. True PID don't have start nor finish, it some sort of sinusoidal which should drive to desired steady value.
You should referring to something like this..

I see now....I have no idea how to control mixing valve. Currently I'm using optional/Z1(Z2)_mixing_valve topic to drive my mixing valve and I will leave as it is for now.

in HA if i recall it correctly have trend component where you can feed this PID value, and by it's trend, increasing or decreasing you can control mixing valve relays (open/close)
